The hotels will endeavour to accommodate guests at an earlier
check-in time if requested, subject to room availability.
The quoted rates are applicable to International visitors travelling from countries excluded from South Africa
City Lodge Hotels and CyberCapeTown reserves the right to limit the number of rooms, or rooms available, at the quoted rate in any 1 or more of the hotels operated by it. Please expect this to occur during “special event” or “high season” periods. The yielding of the City Lodge properties will determine whether your booking will be accepted on the rate advertised or if you will be offered a higher rate.
Deposit and Payment Policy
We are to receive payment of the total value of the booking
40 days prior to the scheduled date of arrival or at the time of making the reservation.
Guarantee Status – the room(s) will be held for arrival until 12h00 on the day following the scheduled arrival date.
In the event of a no-show or late cancellation, guests will be liable for the total value of 1 night’s accommodation per room.
Cancellation Policy
A full refund of the total value of the booking will be made in respect of cancellations received more than 24 hours prior to the schedule date of arrival.
Refunds are subject to a 10% administration fee.
In respect of cancellations 24 hours or less prior to the scheduled date of arrival, 1 night’s accommodation will be charged per room.

Handy Hints
Remember to bring a camera, binoculars, bird and wildlife reference books, a hat and sunscreen lotion. Take along medicines such as anti-histamine and lotion for insect stings and bites. Cool clothing for summer and warm for winter are advised as the region is subject to sudden weather changes, particularly in the mountains. Remember charcoal or wood as this is not available in the park. Visitors should also remember to take a torch along as the camp has no illumination at night.

Wheelchair Access
Marakele is a wilderness area with limited tourism facilities for everyone. Much of the park requires a 4x4 vehicle. The safari tent camp has 10 units, one of which is accessible to people in wheelchairs, equipped with an access ramp and adapted ablution facilities (roll-in shower). No accessible facilities are available at the Bush Camp. The new reception block comprises of a unisex ablution block for the use of people with mobility impairment. One of the 3 circles at the camping sites is also equipped with access facilities.
